EDUCAUSE senior leadership provides strategic and tactical guidance for the association, working with the EDUCAUSE board to serve our community of colleges, universities, and other organizations.

Vice President, Professional Learning

Eden leads the unit responsible for developing the tools and resources EDUCAUSE members need to connect with peers, grow professionally, advance their careers, and manage the talent of their organizations. Her portfolio includes EDUCAUSE’s professional learning activities, conferences and events, mentoring services, microcredentialing initiatives, and career development opportunities.

Susan Grajek

Vice President, Communities and Research

Susan is responsible for EDUCAUSE research and benchmarking programs (the EDUCAUSE Center for Analysis and Research (ECAR) and the Core Data Service), trends initiatives (the Horizon Report and the Top 10 IT Issues), communities (including the Cybersecurity Initiative and HEISC, the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI), the Student Success Community Program, the Enterprise IT program, working and community groups), and partnership activities.

Mairéad Martin

Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Mairéad leads the EDUCAUSE IT department which provides IT services to the association staff, and works with the business units on IT solutions which support and provide value to the membership at large. EDUCAUSE’s IT service portfolio includes email and calendar; AV solutions; identity and access management; security; network and connectivity; storage and backup; and service desk and support. Mairéad also contributes to association strategic planning and programmatic development

Nicole McWhirter

Chief Planning Officer

Nicole is responsible for EDUCAUSE board relations, association strategic planning, and activities related to enterprise process improvement and project coordination.

President and CEO

John is responsible for leading EDUCAUSE in its mission to advance higher education through technology innovation. He directs all activities and functions and works with the EDUCAUSE board to ensure stewardship, transparency, and accountability in service to EDUCAUSE members.

Stacy Ruwe leads Membership and Business Services. Her portfolio includes Membership, Corporate, Accounting, Contracting, Investments, Legal, Human Resources, Business Development, Data and Reporting.

Catherine Yang

VP of Digital Communications and Content

Catherine oversees the association's digital communication channels of marketing, web and publishing. Her responsibilities include the EDUCAUSE websites, EDUCAUSE Review, the EDUCAUSE Library, and various content strategy initiatives.
